About Me
Psychotherapists begin their training as soon as they become aware of the complexity of the
people in their lives. Lifelong observation of my fellow human beings combined with ongoing
reflection about my own reactions and behaviours gives me a vast and deep sense of what
makes people tick. I combine this with my training in several therapeutic programs including
The Advanced Training Program in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, EMDR (Eye Movement
Desensitization and Reprogramming) and the Feldenkrais MethodTM of Somatic Education. I
remain up to date in new developments in the field of mental health.
It's now well understood that mental health and physical health are interdependent. I make a
point of maintaining the foundations of well-being, including restful sleep, regular movement
and strength training, sufficient exposure to daytime natural light and adequate nighttime
immersion in darkness, continuously taking on new learning challenges, and seeking social
interaction. This is not only for my own benefit, but so I can discuss these commitments, which
are demanding, based on genuine experience.
